How to make an eggless cake?

This recipe presents a straightforward method to prepare a cake using common ingredients like powdered sugar, dahi, and maida. The process involves creaming sugar and oil, adding wet and dry ingredients, and baking at 170 degrees Celsius for 30-40 minutes. The cake is done when a toothpick comes out clean.

Ingredients

  1. Powdered Sugar – 3/4 cup
  2. Milk Powder – 2 tbsp
  3. Dahi/Curd – 2 tbsp
  4. Baking Powder – 1 tsp
  5. Vanilla essence – 1 tsp
  6. Baking Soda – 1/4 of small spoon
  7. Maida or all purpose floor – 1 cup
  8. Refined oil/butter – 1/2 cup
  9. Milk – 1/4 cup

Process

Step 1 – Mix sugar and oil until creaming is formed

Step 2 – Add dahi/curd to the mixer and mix

Step 3 – Add vanilla essence

Step 4 – Add dry Ingredients ( Maida, Baking powder, baking soda and milk powder). Make sure to sieve the ingredients while adding to the mixture.

Step 5 – Add milk slowly while mixing. You can increase the content of milk depending on the consistency of the batter. The batter should form ribbon like structure when pouring.

Step 6 – Bake for 30-40 min at 170 degree centigrade in pre-heated oven. Keep checking in between as not all ovens are same and may require more or less time depending on the oven you have.

Note: Oven should be pre-heated for 10 min at 170 degree centigrade.

Note: Your cake should be ready if it does not stick the toothpick/knife.
